This spring the Fulton Soccer Club will be running a Soccer Academy. The purpose of a soccer academy is player development. In an academy environment, players are taught ball control and other technical exercises as well as soccer tactics. The FSC Academy relies heavily on the use of game-related drills and small-sided games (3 v 3 for example) to provide a fun learning environment.
Who is for? Any player in grades 2 - 8 who wants to improve as a soccer player.
Where will it be held? Morgan Soccer Complex (map)
When will it be? Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 (starts April 8 and end May 27)
How much does it cost? $20 (includes a club t-shirt)
Who are the coaches? The coaches are Shawn Hull and Brandon Russell. Coach Hull has been involved in soccer for over 35 years. He played college soccer and has coached at the recreational, competitive, and high school levels. Coach Russell played for both Fulton High School and the Fulton Soccer Club. Brandon has also played at the college level.
We ask that you please register in advance. (Use this form.) If you have any questions please email Coach Hull or call 573.220.4762.
Players will be doing a lot of individual work with the ball, so we are asking that players bring a ball if they have one. We will have some extra ones, but we don't have enough for everyone.
